I have attended classes at the French Institute for some years, initially in the improvers class and for the last couple of years in the intermediate class. I have thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and my French conversation and understanding continues to improve. The class size is reasonable which enables good participation, the teachers are dedicated and very encouraging to all and they create an atmosphere that is very relaxed and conducive to learning.

I have been attending the French Institute for over 2 years now and I really like the formula.
The teachers use a great mix of learning styles from watching videos and discussing them, reading up to date articles in the news or just chatting about what we all did last week.
Everyone gets to speak and use their level of language and improve. They cater for all levels and cover the grammar well too.
I was really rusty but feel I have come a long way since going back to the weekly class.
I look forward to going each week and most importantly it's fun.”

I have been attending the Galway French Institute for several years taking part in the intermediate classes on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 pm. I can highly recommend this institute, the way of learning is not pressurised and very enjoyable. The pace and level of French is challenging (in a good way) and I find that the teachers encourage the us the students to try even if we aren’t 100% right and then assist if required. The classes are fun and everyone is equal irrespective of their French ability.
I enjoy my classes and have founds it very beneficial with my French improving over the time.

Finn enjoyed the Saturday primary school language classes with native speakers. There were small pupil teacher ratios and the young teachers really engaged with the students.
It has given him a great start with learning French. Elodie also helped us organise an engage with a lovely family from Paris. The boys got on well and will hopefully go over and back exchanging language and culture over the next few years. I could not recommend the French Institute more.

I have been attending classes here for a couple of years. From my first class, I was so impressed with the quality of teaching. Every teacher I had displayed great subject knowledge with every lesson well- planned with all four skills .The focus always on communication. The classes are always fun and interesting with all learners actively participating in tasks, individually and in pairs. After a relatively short time I was able to have conversations in French while visiting French -speaking countries and use the language for different topics which I had learned in class.
